Tax Filings and Payments Postponed
As most everyone knows by now, the due date for filing your 2019 individual income tax return with the IRS is now July 15. On that date the return is due as well as any tax due. If you need more time to file your 2019 return, an extension is due by July 15 along with the payment of any estimated 2019 tax payment. Same as always, the extended due date is October 15.
Year 2020 Q1 and Q2 Estimated Tax Payments
The first quarter estimated tax payment for year 2020, normally due on April 15, is now due on July 15. The second quarter estimated tax payment, normally due on June 15, is now due on July 15 as well.
